In 2011 I began focusing on my own paintings full time. It's been a journey that has led me to be more open creatively and spiritually. These days my work frequently brings me to New Mexico as inspiration for my abstract landscapes. As a result I live part time in Jemez Springs where I love painting in the desert or exploring one of the state’s many beautiful National Parks. When I’m not in New Mexico, I work from my home studio in New Hampshire where I live with my husband Stephen of eighteen years.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA where I explored artistic expression from a young age. After receiving my BFA, summa cum laude, in illustration at Syracuse University, I spent thirteen years in New York City illustrating for various clients before moving to rural New Hampshire to start my family. There I taught art classes and illustrated childrens’ books for Fly Leaf Publishing.
Since pursuing my own art full time my work has truly taken on a life of its own. I now enjoy watching the process of painting unfold and see myself as a servant of the art and where it wants to go. Painting is my way of saying 'thank you' to God for the amazing gift of life on this planet, and I hope my joy and gratitude come through in my work.
